I'm Vicky on plot 91. I've been there since last April and did quite well growing bits and bobs I think. My wildflower patch went nuts and flowered brilliantly which was good, I literally just threw the seed on the floor and went home! It grew with no help really.
I want to make my allotment like a pretty garden with wild flowers, and grow loads of herbs like lavender for drying and using in winter. Specially mint as I like mint tea!
The main thing I've learned off last year's allotment is don't use the tent type greenhouse when your plot's on top of the hill. It WILL fly away and leave home, taking things with it!! Must get a proper glass one!

Hi Vicky,
Mint is lovely but beware, it will colonise your whole plot if you let it. There will be lots of lovely mint tea for you and the rest of Marlow.
About the plastic greenhouse, I had one of those and needed to reposition it. So I just un-pegged it, picked it up and before I knew it I was airborne and had to let go. Fortunately the thing was still tethered at one corner, but it destroyed everything in its circular path. Shame really, I used it for drying onions and took off the cover in the winter. But when it trashed itself, that was the end of it.
